Board of Trustees

The Russell Bede Board of Directors conscientiously adheres to the mission set by its founder, Helen Myers: To re-mediate young students having difficulty succeeding in a regular classroom. As soon as feasible, students return to mainstream education with the capabilities required to be successful.

Our board is made up of parents of former students, educators and members of the greater Russell Bede School community who bring professional expertise that can help advance our mission.

Nancy Martin, Board President

Nancy Martin joined the board of directors in 2002 after watching two of her children attend Russell Bede and benefit greatly. As the mother of former students, she represents the needs of parents and works to ensure that other pupils gain as much as her own. As a lawyer, she also lends legal expertise. Martin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, a JD from the University of San Francisco and practiced many years in the field of intellectual property, specializing in trademark, copyright, unfair trade practices and internet law.

Feld worked closely with her mother to establish Russell Bede School in the early 1980s and has served on the Board of Directors ever since.
